The Royal Commission for Riyadh City Announces the Completion of the Main “Riyadh Bus” ‎Network

‏

The Royal Commission for Riyadh City proudly announces the successful completion of the main ‎Riyadh Bus network, marking a significant achievement within the framework of the King Abdulaziz ‎Project for Riyadh Public Transport.‎

The main Riyadh Bus network now comprises 54 routes, encompassing a total of 2,145 stations and ‎stops, and is served by a fleet of 679 buses. ‎

Designed to offer bus users a seamless and enhanced travel experience, the Riyadh Bus app provides ‎easy access to a comprehensive range of services for a comfortable ride. The innovative ‘Select Your ‎Destination’ feature empowers users to plan their journeys effortlessly, starting from their initial ‎points, navigating through trajectories, and accessing timetables. The interactive ‘Track Your Route’ ‎feature allows users to monitor their trips in real-time, providing accurate and accessible trip details. ‎Additionally, the app introduces the convenient ‘Buy Your Ticket’ feature, streamlining the ticket ‎purchasing process for added user convenience.‎

With a commitment to improving the overall mobility experience in Riyadh City, the Riyadh Bus app ‎stands as a user-friendly tool that combines functionality and ease of use for a more connected and ‎efficient public transportation system.‎

In addition to the rich features of the Riyadh Bus app, settling trip bills has never been easier with the ‎introduction of a digital machine installed in buses. This convenient innovation enables users to ‎effortlessly manage and pay their trip fares digitally, enhancing the overall efficiency of the ‎transportation experience.‎

What’s more, the web portal www.riyadhbus.sa serves as a comprehensive platform catering to bus ‎passengers’ diverse needs. The portal provides a wide array of options, including identifying bus ‎trajectories and facilitating ticket purchases. Moreover, the Darb Card service offers a seamless ‎payment solution for bus fares. Available at ticket offices and vending machines at Riyadh Metro ‎stations, the Darb Card adds a layer of convenience for commuters, simplifying the payment process ‎and ensuring a smooth and hassle-free travel experience.‎

The King Abdulaziz Project for Riyadh Public Transport comprises an extensive network of trains and ‎buses, meticulously designed to meet the current and future transport needs of Riyadh City. The ‎project plays a pivotal role in driving the economic growth of Riyadh, elevating its competitiveness ‎across various sectors, and solidifying its status as a thriving economic and touristic hub.‎

At the core of the project is the commitment to operate a state-of-the-art mobility network, ‎integrating the latest innovative technologies across 87 routes. Among these, 54 routes form the ‎backbone of the Riyadh Bus main network, while an additional 33 routes seamlessly connect with ‎the Riyadh Metro. The project’s infrastructure includes an impressive 2,900 stopping stations ‎strategically positioned to serve commuters, supported by a fleet of over 800 buses covering a vast ‎network spanning 1,900 km.‎

Furthermore, the Riyadh Metro, boasting 6 routes and 84 metro stations throughout the city, ‎emerges as a central and efficient mode of transportation. The comprehensive scope and ‎technological advancements embedded within the King Abdulaziz Project underscore its ‎transformative impact on Riyadh’s transportation landscape.‎
