RCRC lifts Restrictions on 50M sqm of Land in Northern Riyadh and New Murabba Project

‏

The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) has announced the removal of restrictions ‎on key land transactions, including sales, purchases, subdivisions, and fragmentation, ‎across a vast area in northern Riyadh. This decision specifically affects the region ‎surrounding the New Murabba Project. Spanning approximately 46 million square meters, ‎the unrestricted area is bordered by King Fahd Road to the west, Prince Faisal bin Bandar ‎Road to the east, the Special Security Forces Road to the south, and the pipeline protection ‎zone to the north.‎
The RCRC further stated that building permits and approvals for new development plans on ‎these plots will be issued in line with a new urban code, set to be revealed within three ‎months of this announcement.‎

In a related update, it was revealed last week that restrictions on 4,714,900 square meters ‎of land within the New Murabba Project development area have also been lifted. The ‎National Program for Community Development in the Regions (TANMIHA) has recently ‎called on property owners to submit the required documentation to verify land ownership, ‎paving the way for the initiation of expropriation procedures within the New Murabba ‎Project’s boundaries. Meanwhile, the New Murabba Company is set to develop design ‎guidelines for the urban code in these areas, which will be published through the RCRC’s ‎official channels once approved.‎

In addition, the RCRC has established a contact center to manage public inquiries regarding ‎the lands affected by the decision. The center is available from Sunday to Thursday, ‎between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, and can be reached at 8001240800.‎
